They may not be the same tools, and they are certainly not the same researchers, but social media are most definitely making an impact on scholarly workflow."

Digitale media in een quiz

JISC Digital Media met alweer een fraaie handleiding over het gebruik van afbeeldingen, audio en video in een quiz.
"Quizzes are one of many types of assessment tool used, as a component in a course’s learning objectives, to test learner knowledge, skills and ability. The use of quizzes can be seen as an alternative to exams and written coursework. Because of the multitude of potential ways of implementing a quiz there are many opportunities to use digital media, which will be explored in this advice document."

Gebruik multimedia in medische publicaties

Alexander Ziegler cs in het open access tijdschrift (met impact factor) BMC Medicine over "Effectively incorporating selected multimedia content into medical publications". Er wordt aangegeven waarom en op welke wijze interactieve 3D beelden en audiovisuele materialen van groot belang zijn voor de dissiminatie van informatie en interactie met gebruikers.

Plagiarisma

Plagiarisma is een handig instrument voor studenten om mogelijk plagiaat te voorkomen en voor docenten om mogelijk plagiaat op te sporen. De applicatie kent een drietal wijzen van invoer: mbv copy en paste tekst in de searchbox plaatsen, een file oploaden (txt, html, rtf, doc, docx, odt, pdf) of een URL. Er wordt gezocht in het openbare internet en er kan gekozen worden tussen Google, Bing of Yahoo.
